The landscape and elevation is changing.
Nancy, France
Oct. 10, 09:20 AM
One of the largest and busiest cities that we have to cross. As always, .. Car = traffic
The Stromer has built up a nice lead now.
We are near the “Ballon D’Alsace”, wish him luck!

356KM in the legs.
Almost 400KM !
Oct. 10, 11:22 AM
Driver switch, Ben is going to relieve Jan.
Jan is almost 12 hours straight on the bike, 391 km cycled, most of the time trough the rain. A little power nap will do him good.
Zet die kraan is toe!
Oct. 10, 01:20 PM
Ben retains the average well, he is almost at the Ballon d’alsace. The longest climb in our route.
He yells in Dutch “shut off the tap/rain”
Col ouvert!
Oct. 10, 01:35 PM
Ben can start his first climb / col ever.
No experience but he does have a Stromer ST3! Wondering how long it will take.
Ballon d'Alsace Alt. 1165M
Oct. 10, 02:01 PM
24 minutes from the bottom to the top.
Fortunately our Stava is not on, K.O.M. steeler at the Ballon D’Alsace.
Remarkably how easy the Stromer ST3 behaves on a long climb.
It has started to rain harder again, be careful on this descent.

Last KM's in France.
Oct. 10, 03:37 PM
We can already smell the swiss cheese, last km’s in France. The hours are starting to take their toll, we have been driving for thirteen hours straight, surviving on sandwiches and biscuits.
We almost past the 500KM mark, the Stromer still works like a dream, not even a flat tire!
Lugnez Switzerland
Oct. 10, 03:50 PM
We have officially reached our destination! Switzerland! Just under 16 hours we reach the swiss border.
Because we do not have internet and roaming in Switzerland, we must continue with our offline maps.
Jan is now going to tackle the last climbs.
Undervelier, Switzerland

We’ve just past a sign, road closed!
Turns out the top is closed, we have to go back. Two hours to go!
